DETAILED SANDLOK ™ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend you follow these instructions to ensure you safely secure your umbrella in sand.
1. Check SANDLOK ™ point is attached onto lower umbrella shaft.
2. Push lower shaft firmly into dry sand whilst slowly rocking it backwards and forwards in a 90degree arc. The wider the angle the deeper the hole.
3. We recommend the lower shaft is perpendicular when you reach depth marked on shaft.
4. Fill resulting hole around shaft with dry sand.
5. Firmly tap shaft to lock it in position.
6. Push top umbrella shaft with cover onto lower telescopic shaft and lock into place.
7. Adjust telescopic shaft to required height.
8. Open top cover by pushing centre ring until upright and lock into place.
9. To tilt umbrella lift the EZYTILT ™ metal safety cover and adjust top shaft to desired position.
10. If sand is wet or damp, add water to hole and tap shaft to lock up.
11. To remove reverse installation procedure by detaching top shaft and rocking shaft backwards and forwards to loosen and lift out.
In a wide arcing movement, work the Sandlok device into the sand until it reaches the red target line.
It is now ready to fill. Tip dry, loose sand into the hole around the Sandlok device. As the hole fills, wiggle the shaft and watch the sand work down to maintain its grip in the sand. This is the action that works with the wind, safely securing your Sandlok umbrella in place.
